The number one frustration I hear goes something like this:

“I don’t know why I won’t make time for exercise.”

“I got a gym membership. Maybe I’ll use it.”

“I just have too much on my plate to take care of myself.”

“There’s so much confusing diet information out there. I don’t know who to believe or where to start.”

“I don’t know how to get back into shape at my age.”

Women our age—midlife and beyond—often feel pulled in so many directions: helping our young-adult children find their way in the world, taking care of grandkids, working in our careers, considering when to retire and how to make our retirement count, assisting aging parents. The list goes on.

Tending to our own well-being can feel like an indulgence that we can’t afford in time, energy or money. It can feel like ONE. MORE. THING.

But you’ve heard it before. You can’t take care of anyone else if you don’t take care of yourself. Not long term, anyway.

Sadly, taking care of ourselves can feel like a burden and a no-win situation. We feel guilty when we make time for self-care, and we feel disappointed in ourselves when we don’t.

Everyone is unique. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, but I have taken my very best, time-tested tools from my experience coaching and advising and from prioritizing my own wellness throughout some of the most difficult years of my life, as well as strategies drawn from exercise science, sociology, psychology and nutrition and created a solid framework for helping you prioritize your wellness so that you can consistently show up as the person you want to be, even in a very busy life full of lots of external demands.

I have a lot of experience doing just that.

I’m not perfect at it, but, instinctively, I have known for a very long time that it is impossible for me to show up as the person I want to be in the world unless I make self-care—exercise, nutrition, meditation, journaling, yoga and more—a priority. I have to take care of myself so that I can take care of the people and responsibilities in my life.

Because I have heard from so many women who struggle with prioritizing their wellness, I realized that the most important service I could offer other midlife+ women is to pull together what I know about the power of our minds and about the more tangible aspects of creating wellness—nutrition, movement, mindfulness, etc.—to create a powerful program that allows you to develop both the mindset and the actions to take control of your wellness where you can and show up as the person you want to be in the world.

The lessons and tools in my Priority Wellness Program are tried and tested. They have worked for me for decades, allowing me to control what I could around my health and well-being, even through periods when life felt very much out of control.

I have also used these tools and strategies to help others in a wide range of settings take control of their wellness where they could. I’ve experienced their power in workshops and one-on-one interactions with people living with HIV, with university students, with personal training clients and with coaching clients.

What’s special about Priority Wellness is that I have pulled all this experience together to create (with gratitude for a great deal of inspiration and guidance that I have received on several bike rides) a comprehensive, structured program to give you these benefits:

· An increased sense of well-being in your mind and in your body

· A clear understanding of your power to foster your own wellness

· The confidence and knowledge you need to make your wellness a priority

· Practical guidance in nutrition, movement, sleep, mindfulness and more

· A clear, custom “route guide” to your vision of true wellness

Because different people have different needs, I’m offering two versions:

· Priority Wellness Personalized Program—16 weeks of structured, personalized lessons and coaching that places your individual needs at the center. This includes weekly private Zoom sessions with me.

· Priority Wellness Academy—16 weeks of structured group lessons and coaching that taps into the power of community through weekly group Zoom sessions. The group Academy will be held twice a year, starting in August and January.

In both versions the weekly 1.5-hour lessons/coaching sessions will include:

· 30 minutes of private or group yoga to prime you to receive the week’s lesson while doing something great for your mind and body

· Celebration of progress and troubleshooting of challenges

· A mindset lesson, because our minds are what drive all success. Wellness is truly a mind-body affair.

· An action lesson, because we need to have practical information and know how to apply it in our busy lives.

· Progressive building of your custom route guide toward your vision of true wellness.

· Purposeful homework to help you take the action you need to maximize your wellness.

The investment for the 16-week Priority Wellness Personalized Program is $1,997. A payment plan is available.

The investment for the 16-week Priority Wellness Academy is $397. A payment plan is also available for this option, and I will offer one scholarship spot in each cohort.
